As part of the?Interview Series titled "A New Era of Internet", we spoke with Francis Gurry, former Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Vice Chairman of the World Internet Conference.

In a recent interview, Gurry highlighted China's extraordinary rate of internet penetration – around 1 billion internet users that account for 20% of the global total. "This is an extraordinary development over the past 30 years," noted Gurry.
